MIAMI – American Airlines has launched operation Puerto Rico Strong to aid those on the island who have been affected by Hurricane Maria.

Officials in Puerto Rico are allowing 10 planes to land in San Juan per-day and in that regard the airline is allowing employees to send supplies to their loved ones.

Employees can send a generator and one box of supplies up to 150 pounds or two boxes of supplies up to 150 pounds.

On Sunday American Airlines was able to send out a plane with 37,000 pounds of relief supplies. They are unsure when the next plane with supplies will fly out.
